To ensure you shoot is the right shape for your family, we’ll discuss what sort of photos you are looking for, size of family group and choose a location you have your eye on (or I can provide inspiration if you’re stuck). I’ll also provide you with styling and preparation tips so you are fully prepared!
Then enjoy taking time out from the daily routine and enjoy your guided session together as your children run free, play games and giggle followed by quieter, tender moments. Providing you with a range of images to savour.

What does my session fee cover?
- A questionnaire and telephone consultation to discuss your personality and plan your photoshoot
- Your choice of location
- 60-90 minute relaxed photography session
- A minimum of 40 images for you to choose from
- A private online gallery for viewing your images and deciding which ones to purchase
- What to wear guide
How far in advance should I book?
6-8 weeks allow time for that all important cusomisation of your session. Do get in touch for last minute availability if you are tight on time.
Dates are released on a seasonal/quarterly basis, so if you have a specific time in mind, get in touch to be the first to hear when these become available.
Can you help with hair and make up?
What should I wear?
Select your outfits based on your style, chosen location, the season and potentailly the occassion.
During your pre-session consultation we’ll discuss wardrobe options whether for individuals or groups and, if needed, I can put you in touch with a great stylist.
What happens in the event of bad weather?
Living in the UK this is a reasonable concern! However, it’s not essential to have bright sunlight – in fact, cloudy conditions provide a far more flattering light and enable a lot more flexibility during the session in terms of where the pictures are taken.
Consider locations with an indoor option as a contingency if your session is time dependant.
If you really need outdoor shots we can book a back-up date and can reschedule in the event it is pouring, it’s snowing or conditions would be uncomfortable.
My child is shy, how do you deal with that?
I'm awkward infront of the camera - can you help?
Firstly you’re not alone and I get it (there’s a reason I’m behind the lens!). I’ll provide guidance and gentle direction throughout your session to make sure you’re comfortable so we can create those gorgeous relaxed images you are after.
When and where will our shoot be held?
As part of your session preparation we’ll look at locations where you like to spend your time – as your family are likely to be most comfortable and relaxed there. And, if you’d like inspiration I have lots of seasonal location recommendations to share.
For babies under 12 months I recommend your home – they tend to be happier and settled in familiar surroudings, plus everything is on hand.
When choosing your location, we’ll also consider any practicalities timings along with accessibility for any of your family members.
I generally find locations are quieter in the morning or evening – although this can depend on the location you choose and the time of year.
What are your payment terms?
In order to secure your session date and to start customising it just for you, your session fee is due on booking. However, payments for the packages you choose is due on ordering (usually 3 weeks after your session).
