FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Got a question on the tip of your tongue? Here’s some frequently asked questions (and answers) which might help and if you can’t find what you’re looking for just get in touch – I’d love to help!

When should I arrive?

Short and sweet means we are working to a tight schedule. Please ensure you arrive 15 mins early, if you are running late let me know as early as possible and I will do my best to find an alternative time slot or we will make the most of the time we do have available, although this will directly impact the number of images you receive in your gallery.

Where do I need to be?

The sessions will be held in Southsea, Hampshire and location information will be confirmed when sessions go on general release. In order to photograph at your prom venue I will need to ensure venue availability and also ensure there is sufficient demand as these sessions are based on short, multiple sessions running back to back. Let me know your venue and I’ll do my best to work my magic for you!

Can I keep my dress a secret?

I know you want to keep your dress under wraps – so to avoid bumping into someone from the same school I’ll do my best to schedule your time slot apart from school friends. If we’re photographing at the venue I will try to arrange a changing area, just be sure to leave enough time for this before your session.

As for your pictures, if you follow me you know I release Sneak Peeks – please be assured I don’t post any images without permission so we will keep them under wraps for as long as you like!

What about my hair and make-up?

Professional hair and make-up artists are used to creating looks which are intended to last well into the evening as most of them will be prepping bridal parties on a weekly basis. They’ll provide tips to freshen up your look too, so you can book in earlier in the day, come along for your photography session and know that your look will still be fresh for the prom.

Can I book hair and make-up?

If you haven’t yet booked hair or make-up for your prom drop me a line and I’ll send you some details of some I would recommend. I’ll give them advance notice of these sessions so they’ll have some availability, however I would strongly recommend getting in touch with them as early as you can as in my experieince they do get booked up quicker than you think!

Can I book a session with my friends?

Due to the limited time available for these sessions I recommend that these are kept to one person ideally. Adding an extra person will reduce the number of individual images per person and is an additional £30 per session. Group bookings of 3-4 will require a double time-slot booking subject to availability. For larger groups a full, customised session may be something worth considering.

If you’d like to discuss either of these options either complete the contact form or give me a call and I’ll be happy to discuss your requirements.

When will I see my pictures?

Your images will be revealed to you 2-3 weeks after your session.  You’ll receive a link to your online secure gallery where you can view and order your package items along with any additional products at 20% discount. Most orders will be available for collection within 7-10 working days.

What about payment?

The total session fee is £150. To secure your time slot a non-refundable deposit of £99 is due on booking with the balance on or before the 1 June. Payment details will be sent to you along with your invoice after booking.

What is your cancellation policy?
  • Sessions cancelled less than 72 hours in advance are non-refundable as it is unlikely your slot will be filled at short notice.
  • In the event of the photographer having to cancel an alternative session or full refund will be offered.
  • Session deposit is non-refundable.
Do you offer customised prom sessions?

Absolutely! If you have a location in mind as a backdrop to your prom portraits then let me know. The beach just before sunset is stunning by the shore and in the sand dunes, perhaps a field full of corn with the evening light catching the tips, or maybe something urban  to create images with an edgier feel. Just get in touch and we’ll create something truly special.

What about the boys?

Yes! These sessions are open to boys too. Either individually or a two person shoot if you want to include your prom date. Imagine after Oscar-party style images and take a look at my pinterest board for inspiration.
